Viking has announced a £1,000pp discount offer with the launch of its 2019 programme.
The offer, applicable to river cruises booked before March 31, is being run in conjunction with the line’s programme for next year, unveiled last week, which features destinations such as Russia, Egypt and China.
Among itineraries featured is a 13-day Waterways of the Tsars voyage from Moscow to St Petersburg, which “reveals the real Russia as never before” and includes 10 guided tours. Departures are from May-October, 2019; prices start from £2,795pp.
Elsewhere, the Pharaohs & Pyramids sailing will see passengers journey along the Nile for 12 days, with guests able to learn from Viking’s “expert Egyptologists”. Departures will take place year-round in 2019 and prices lead in from £5,295pp.
The line’s Imperial Jewels of China sailing down the Yangtze features 11 guided tours, including the chance to walk along the Great Wall and visit Beijing’s old hutong neighbourhoods. Voyages run from March-November 2019; prices start from £2,795pp.
Viking announced last week that it had chosen youth cricket and disability sports charity the Lord’s Taverners, as its official charity partner for 2018. The line will work alongside the organisation on a number of fundraising initiatives to raise money to give disadvantaged and disabled young people the chance to engage in sport and activities in their communities.
Wendy Atkin-Smith, managing director for Viking, said: “We’re delighted to be part of the wonderful work the Lord’s Taverners does in giving young people a sporting chance. It really is a worthwhile cause.”
