The event brought together representatives from travel agents, cruise specialists, homeworkers, tour operators and consortia, including Barrhead Travel, Iglu, Advantage Travel Partnership, Gold Medal, Fred Olsen Travel, ROL Cruise and Panache Cruises,
David Siewers, Azamara's Chief International Sales Officer, updated guests on the line's recent initiatives, including the relaunch of its Experience More packages with new flexible pricing and refreshed inclusions, which are now commissionable to the trade.
He also covered the launch of Azamara’s 195-night World Cruise in 2029, with two additional journeys of 179 and 139 nights, designed in response to Azamara’s growing international markets, and gave an exclusive preview of the line’s unreleased deployment.
"It was great to bring our partners together again in London," said Siewers. "The conversation was open, honest and full of practical insights from people who talk to cruise customers every day. With the trade responsible for nearly 90% of our business in the UK and Ireland, this kind of input directly shapes how we develop our products and support our partners – we're already looking at how we can act on what we heard."
Stuart Pearce, Azamara's Director of Sales, UK and Ireland, added: "When we came up with the panel concept, we knew it would help shape our thinking, but in reality, it does more than that. It gives our partners a genuine seat at the table and turns feedback into real change, from how we package our itineraries to the tools we give agents to sell them."
Sarah Lancashire, Gold Medal Product and Marketing Director of Gold Medal, said: “It's refreshing to have a cruise line share its plans with us early and genuinely ask for our view. The session gave us a clear picture of where Azamara Cruises is heading and a real opportunity to influence it.”
Launched last year, the panel creates a direct line between Azamara's senior leadership team and its key trade partners. The panel meets twice a year, once in person and once virtually. The next meeting is scheduled for the first quarter of 2027.
