Through partnerships with tourism boards and destination marketing organisations across Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, Taiwan, Singapore, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand and Malaysia, the airline will support joint marketing and promotional initiatives to stimulate travel demand, enhance connectivity and encourage more travellers to explore the region.
Seven partnerships were formalised and reaffirmed at MATTA Fair 2026, set against the backdrop of the inaugural Destination Parade: Asia Pacific's Largest Tourism Destination Show.
Tourism Authority of Thailand: The one-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) marks the airline’s first strategic partnership with the tourism authority.
Ministry of Tourism, Republic of Indonesia: This partnership signals a shared commitment to strengthening tourism cooperation between Malaysia and Indonesia.
Philippines Department of Tourism: A one-year MoU has been agreed with the Philippines Department of Tourism (PDOT) to promote the Philippines as a leisure destination for Malaysian travellers.
Tourism Taiwan Administration: The one-year MoU with the Tourism Taiwan Administration (TTA) will support efforts to grow tourism demand between Malaysia and Taiwan.
Singapore Tourism Board: Building on previous successful campaigns, Malaysia Airlines and the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) have renewed and expanded their partnership through a three-year MoU and a one-year strategic agreement.
Korea Tourism Organization: A new strategic partnership with the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) will promote South Korea as a preferred destination among Malaysian travellers.
Tourism Australia: A one-year Partnership Marketing Agreement with Tourism Australia will promote Australia as a preferred destination for Malaysian travellers.
Alongside these new and renewed partnerships, Malaysia Airlines’ longstanding collaborations with Tourism Malaysia and Tourism New Zealand continue through ongoing joint marketing efforts that support tourism growth and connectivity.
