The announcements come as evolving travel patterns shape demand across the Mantis portfolio. Insights from the Mantis Travel Desk show South Africa, Rwanda and Botswana as top destinations for 2026, with solo travel enquiries up 9% and continued strength in multi-generational travel.
Demand for volunteer and community-focused experiences is rising, with enquiries led by the UK (32%), US (27%) and Europe (21%), alongside growing interest from the Middle East.
Mantis Hiddn in Addo introduces a new level of remote luxury within an 800-hectare private reserve overlooking South Africa’s greater Addo region.
Operating fully off-grid, the lodge features 12 mountain suites and two private villas designed to blend seamlessly with the landscape. Experiences focus on guided wilderness activities, botanical-inspired wellness and access to Addo Elephant National Park, rooted in AmaXhosa cultural values.
In the UAE, Saij Mountain Lodge by Mantis offers a high-altitude retreat shaped by the dramatic beauty of Jebel Jais. Built using local materials, its 70 lodges emphasise intimacy and stillness, with experiences including guided hikes, beekeeping and farm-to-table dining inspired by the mountain ecosystem.
Basiqat by Mantis marks a significant milestone in Saudi Arabia and the wider GCC. Featuring 218 keys across suites, villas, desert tents and Zad Palace Suites, the resort will include multiple dining venues, a hydro spa, pools, yoga pavilion, souk, kids’ club and event spaces.
Developed with Design & Build, GIB Capital and the Tourism Development Fund, Basiqat will set a new benchmark for eco-inspired luxury in the region.
