Reservations are now open for Vestige Xaudum, which will welcome its first guests from 15 March 2027, marking the first international opening for Spanish hospitality brand Vestige Collection.
Set on a Kalahari sand dune overlooking an ancient fossil riverbed, the six-suite property will be the only lodge within Khaudum National Park, one of Africa’s least-visited wilderness areas, welcoming fewer than 3,000 visitors each year. Part of the Kavango–Zambezi Transfrontier Conservation Area, the park is home to migratory elephant herds, endangered African wild dogs, lion, leopard, cheetah and more than 300 bird species.
Designed by the brand’s in-house Vestige Estudio, the lodge will feature five one-bedroom suites and one two-bedroom suite, alongside a spa, open-air fitness deck and 78m² swimming pool overlooking the wilderness. Local materials and craftsmanship have been incorporated throughout, with much of the team recruited from neighbouring conservancies.
Safari experiences will take a flexible, nature-led approach, with private guides adapting days around wildlife movements and guests’ interests rather than fixed itineraries. Game drives will be complemented by bush breakfasts, guided walks and stargazing.
Vestige Xaudum will be the first of four lodges forming a new circuit through northern Namibia, followed by Vestige Sorris Sorris, Vestige Omatendeka and Vestige Sheya Shuushona.
