Commenting on their decision to support TTG LGBT, Melissa Tilling, managing director of Funway Holidays, and James Bell, managing director of Cara Hotel Marketing for AMResorts, said: “Both Funway Holidays and AMResorts see participation with TTG LGBT as an opportunity to build on our support so far and work together with our team and our customers to ensure any remaining barriers in the travel industry are overcome for the LGBT community.”
Jo Rzymowksa, vice-president and managing director, UK, Ireland and Asia of Celebrity Cruises, which has been the headline partner of TTG LGBT since it launched in 2015, added: “I’m so proud Celebrity Cruises is continuing its partnership with TTG to champion the multitude of voices that make the travel industry such a diverse and exciting sector to be a part of.
“There’s still work to do... and Celebrity Cruises will continue to use our voice to speak up for an industry that celebrates its diversity.”
This year will see a series of new TTG LGBT events, beginning with a TTG LGBT breakfast debate on March 15 in London. “LGBT and inclusivity: In 2019, how far has the travel industry opened its eyes to change?” will explore what travel has achieved and, crucially, what still needs to be done.
Later in the year, July will see the return of Travel Pride before TTG LGBT heads to Manchester for the all-new TTG LGBT seminar.
