Essential Detail, the leading UK representation company for boutique Caribbean hotels, hosted a four-day roadshow engaging over 100 travel agents with its portfolio of luxury properties, as well as the exceptional experiences available across the Caribbean.
Held between Monday 13 and Thursday 15 July and following the theme of ‘Crafting Tomorrow’s Caribbean’, the in-person events focused on immersive experiences, sustainability and culture.
Presentations were delivered by Saint Lucia’s East Winds and Rabot Hotel from Hotel Chocolat; Jamaica Inn in Jamaica; Barbados’ South Point Hotel, The Atlantic Historic Inn, and Little Good Harbour; and Young Island in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, as well as each of the respective tourist boards.
Highlighting each destination’s and property’s unique selling points and latest developments, the events were attended by 105 travel agents and professionals, including representatives from Travel Counsellors, Audley Travel, Caribtours, Travel Lux, Kuoni, Designer Travel, and Goldmedal Travel.
Tracey Dyson, Director of Essential Detail said: “We were delighted to welcome so many valued travel partners to this year’s roadshow.
"We know how competitive the travel industry is and these events were all about bringing travel professionals together as well as helping agents sell the Caribbean by sharing the latest destination news, developments and experiences, alongside updates from the wonderful properties in our portfolio.
"We’re grateful to each and every one of the attendees, as well as the hotels and tourist boards that presented.”
In addition to the training and networking sessions, Essential Detail brought fun conviviality to the events with a chocolate experience at Hotel Chocolat in Manchester following presentations at the Treehouse Hotel; Caribbean barbecues at The Mutton at Hazeley Heath near Reading and Tewinbury Farm Hotel in Hertfordshire; a big screen viewing of England versus Argentina at Tewinbury Farm; and drinks and cakes at the Everyman Cinema in Birmingham.
