Hard Rock Hotel Malta has officially celebrated its opening, welcoming guests from across the island, Hard Rock executives, partners and international names including Leomie Anderson, Corinna Brown, Gizzi Erskine and Arielle Free.
The star-studded event featured live performances from some of Malta’s biggest names, including Aiden, Malta’s Eurovision 2026 representative, top-selling female artist Ira Losco and singer Shaun Farrugia. Guests also enjoyed an artistic swimming performance in the hotel’s guitar-shaped pool before dancing into the night with local DJ J Joy.

Thomas Guss, General Manager, added that the opening marks “an incredibly exciting new chapter” for St. George’s Bay, St. Julian’s, Pembroke and the wider island.
The €350 million development represents a major direct investment in Malta’s tourism sector and has created several hundred new jobs across hospitality, dining and wellness.
The 397-room, five-star destination features 11 swimming pools, including a rooftop cantilever pool and guitar-shaped pool, plus more than 10 restaurants, bars, lounges and clubs. Its 3,800sqm Rock Spa® wellness and fitness space is among Malta’s largest, featuring the world’s largest Body Rock® fitness centre, Rock Om® in-room yoga and immersive Rhythm & Motion music-centric spa treatments.
Hard Rock Cafe St. Julian’s Malta adds a 1,400sqm dining and entertainment venue with seating for 222 guests, a Rock Shop®, live music and an extensive collection of authentic music memorabilia. With special events, themed nights and Malta-exclusive merchandise, the cafe is set to become a destination for locals and international visitors alike.
