Ocean Florida reinforced its commitment to accessible travel at the inaugural Janine Loves Travel (JLT) Conference, held at Mottram Hall, Cheshire, on 27 March 2025. With over 100 travel agents and 30 suppliers in attendance, the event provided a valuable opportunity to connect with JLT’s rapidly growing community of home workers.
Representing Ocean Florida were Clare Harvey, Key Account Director, and Lindsey Brumby, Accessibility Coordinator. Their main-stage presentation highlighted the brand’s three accessibility-led USPs:
- A dedicated team, including in-house accessibility experts, offering tailored support to agents and customers.
An exclusive Out of Date Range (ODR) product across the USA, ideal for those needing to book further in advance or requiring specific arrangements. - A business-wide commitment to inclusive travel, built into every stage, from training and packaging to communications.
- Lindsey’s presence resonated strongly, with agents sharing personal stories and experiences around accessibility. The topic clearly struck a chord, sparking follow-up conversations and a desire for deeper engagement.
The event format enabled meaningful dialogue. Each agent received a printed booklet with structured questions for suppliers, driving focused, productive conversations. Many attendees sought out Ocean Florida specifically to learn more about their accessibility offering.
“JLT is absolutely a partner we will continue to support,” said Lindsey Brumby. “They’ve generated £15 million in sales within 12 months, and their network of passionate homeworkers is only growing. Accessibility isn’t a tick-box exercise for us, it’s embedded in how we work and what we offer. The level of emotional engagement from agents was incredibly powerful.”
Following the success of two joint webinars, a third accessibility-focused session is now in discussion, aimed at equipping agents with the tools and confidence to specialise in accessible travel.
Ocean Florida continues to lead the way in inclusive travel and JLT’s conference proved the demand for it has never been stronger.
