Following the success of its three-part Okinawa Uncovered trade webinar series, which attracted over 130 registered travel agents, the Okinawa Convention & Visitors Bureau (OCVB) is bringing the series back for a fourth instalment on 24 September, with two further sessions already planned for the coming months.
Previous webinars have introduced agents to Okinawa, explored the main island in more depth and spotlighted the remote Yaeyama Islands. The latest session, titled “Okinawa Uncovered - History, Heritage and Timeless Traditions”, will focus on how visitors can experience Okinawa’s rich culture and heritage first-hand.
From exploring ancient gusuku fortresses and UNESCO World Heritage sites to experiencing traditions that continue to shape island life today, the webinar will showcase some of the ways visitors can immerse themselves in Okinawa’s unique heritage. The session will also highlight experiences available at Halekulani Okinawa, a luxury resort on Okinawa’s Main Island, alongside practical insights to help agents incorporate the destination’s culture and heritage into their clients’ itineraries.
Led by OCVB’s UK Trade Sales and Marketing Manager, Sandra Kwan, the session will feature guest speakers from Okinawa Dento Karatedo Shinkokai, Halekulani Okinawa, Oku Japan KK and Okinawa JTB Corp.
The webinar will run in a relaxed 45-minute coffee-break format.
