Riverside Luxury Cruises has opened reservations for its 2028 river cruise season, highlighted by the debut of Riverside Mahler, the newest addition to the line’s growing fleet.
Set to sail the Rhine, Main and Danube rivers beginning in May 2028, Mahler will join sister ship Riverside Debussy to offer more choices for guests looking to explore Europe by river.
Riverside Mozart will continue to sail the Upper and Lower Danube, while Riverside Ravel will take guests along the Rhône and Saône rivers in France.
Guests who book any 2028 sailing before 30 June 2027 will receive an 18% discount on the sailing price, applicable to all suite categories and package types.
The addition of Riverside Mahler allows the line to increase its sailings through the Main-Danube Canal, connecting the Rhine and Danube, to 12 departures in 2028, compared with four in 2026 and two in 2027.
The new ship also gives Riverside additional capacity and flexibility to manage high- and low-water situations, including ship swaps when necessary.
“The 2028 season gives travellers more ways to experience Europe by river, with Riverside Mahler joining Mozart, Debussy and Ravel,” said Jennifer Halboth, CEO, Riverside Luxury Cruises Americas.
“The additional ship means we can offer more departures on some of our most popular itineraries, while new routes and expanded sailings on the Lower Danube and Dutch Waterways give guests even more choice.
"It’s a season that gives travellers more ways to experience Europe, whether they’re returning to a favourite destination or discovering somewhere new.”
Riverside Mahler, making its debut in May 2028, will join sister ship Riverside Debussy in an expanded programme connecting the Danube and Rhine. The ship will spend the summer sailing between the two rivers, with itineraries linking destinations in Germany, Austria and Hungary with Amsterdam and Basel.
In September, Mahler will sail the Lower Danube before returning to the Rhine in October and will conclude its inaugural season with Christmas sailings on the Danube.
