This growing team has hit new heights and scooped a bucketload of regional store of the month awards along the way. Alongside delivering outstanding client care, whether that’s seeking out specialist suppliers to handle sensitive customer requests, or contacting the CEO of a major cruise line to personally intervene to resolve a client issue, the team’s skills as event organisers are equally adept, with a floor-filling 80s-themed night for a local charity. Is there anything challenge this team can’t meet?”

A tight-knit team whose enduring community spirit and camaraderie runs alongside a tenacious, “never take no for an answer” service mentality when it comes to standing up for clients - just ask the Turkey wedding they helped save despite an eleventh-hour flight cancellation, while offering an out-of-hours customer enquiries service adds to the flexibility and dedication this team provides.”

Judges heard multiple stories of holiday heroism which are true testament to the team's values. On example saw staff secure a room in a quite area of a Tenerife hotel for a family whose children have sensory senitivies, as well as creating personalised sensory travel packs with fidget toys and colouring activities. The team have also been showing their warmth and personalities through a series of fun TikToks and look out for a new bookable JF website coming soon."
Judges said: It's been such a busy year of growth for the team at Thompson Travel, that the agency has had to refurbish its office to fit everyone in! A third-generation family agency, the eight-strong team has also revamped its website. The team's Holiday Showcase in January welcomed almost nearly 1,000 customers in only four hours. And it's no wonder customers are keen to meet the team given their excellent customer service. Once such example involved a secret tailor-maded package for a Mamma Mia-proposal in Skopelos. Judges said: “The ‘let’s make the impossible possible’ attitude of the agency was a really impressive part of their customer service. One client, who’d recently had both legs amputated, feared he’d never travel again and the team helped him find the confidence to do so. Another client was ready to ditch an Easter Island booking over an administrative hurdle, which the agents resolved by liaising with the consulate. Client events both in-store and in a nearby hotel delivered impressive results, while the innovative step of advertising on the Wightlink ferry service to the mainland helped attract new customers. Efforts to rebuild the agency's team have more than paid off with impressive growth and a renewed workplace culture, offering a flexible and supportive environment. Exceptional customer service has been a constant, including one notable situation whereby a solo traveller fell and broke his hip in Lanzarote, with the Hays team arranging for insurance forms to be sent by courier to his hospital, due to a lack of internt acesss. Meanwhile, sponsoring dry robes for a local under-sevens football team led to more multi-generational bookings, and raising money for Romsey-based charity Alfie’s Wish helped embed the agency in the local community.”
