Brought to the island by Lifestyle Group, one of Malta’s most respected and forward-thinking hospitality groups, the opening marks a bold new chapter in the destination’s luxury dining and beach club scene. Spanning over 1,960 sqm, the new venue blurs the line between fine dining and world-class nightlife, combining refined French-Mediterranean cuisine and upscale beachfront lounging with Bagatelle’s signature joie de vivre, and transitioning seamlessly from daytime relaxation into high-energy evening celebrations.
At its heart is an elegant indoor restaurant with over 180 covers, complemented by an intimate private dining room for more exclusive occasions. Outside, the Bagatelle Beach Club offers a stylish terrace and deck overlooking the waters of St George’s Bay, alongside a vibrant bar and lounge, and sunbeds designed for all-day relaxation throughout Malta’s 300 days of sunshine a year.
Inspired by French elegance and island living, the design combines a refined palette of blues and warm oranges with brass accents, wood panelling and woven textures, creating an indoor-outdoor setting with stunning waterfront views.
The restaurant offers Bagatelle’s signature Riviera-inspired dining experience. Conceived under the guidance of Corporate Chefs Rocco Seminara and Manon Santini, and brought to life in Malta by Executive Chef Walter D’Ambrosio, the menu celebrates the best of Mediterranean seasonality, exceptional local produce and dishes designed for sharing.
Guests can enjoy fresh crudos, Mediterranean sharing plates and seasonal coastal specialities, from goat’s cheese-stuffed courgette flowers and Bagatelle’s signature tuna tartare to whole salt-crusted organic chicken with tarragon and locally sourced fish cooked in lemon tree leaves. Desserts include the signature Bagatelle World, a vanilla mousse with caramel and cashew crunch, and the Jivara chocolate pizzetta with caramelised Piedmont hazelnuts.
