Hosted by Clarity’s Entertainment & Media division, which launched in 2025, the one-day collaborative forum brought together more than 100 production leaders, sustainability specialists and travel suppliers to explore practical solutions to accelerate the transition to lower-carbon production travel.
Recent industry research from BAFTA Albert, the environmental sustainability body for the screen industry, found travel and transport accounted for 65% of film and TV’s production emissions. This is why it’s such a key priority for production companies seeking to meet ambitious sustainability targets.
The summit featured supplier and innovative EV technology demonstrations, as well as interactive workshops and guests from Sky, Leverage Point Entertainment, IDE Systems and Ecoscope all contributing in panel discussions.
Key-note speakers specific to the media sector, Cherique Pohl Founder of ImpactWild, and Tracey Schawsmidth, Production Executive, Sustainability Manager and founder of Black Production Management UK, shared their perspectives and gave case studies to inspire and drive positive environmental change.
"By bringing the right people together to have the right conversations, we believe we have taken huge strides in creating something that will make a real difference,” explained Lucy Goldston, Director of Operations in Clarity’s Entertainment and Media division.
James Langton, Director of Sales & Account Management in Clarity’s Entertainment and Media division, added: “Our ambition is to help lead the way in sustainable production travel, working hand in hand with the production community to challenge how things are done, develop new ideas and build solutions that genuinely work for the realities of production."
While Clarity runs regular Knowledge Exchange workshops and Sustainability Network Group meetings which bring customers together with Clarity team members and industry suppliers, this summit represents the first of its kind for customers in the entertainment and media sector.
