Milaidhoo Maldives is marking International Men’s Day this November with Gentlemen & Cocktails, a cocktail-making challenge celebrating the men who have helped shape the island over the past decade.
As the resort celebrates its tenth anniversary this month, the occasion recognises the visionaries behind its creation and the men who continue to shape its approach to hospitality, rooted in the Maldivian way of life.
The experience invites male guests to step behind the bar at Compass Pool Bar, where expert bartenders will lead a workshop covering the basics of cocktail-making. Participants will then put their skills to the test, receiving a mystery box of secret ingredients to form the basis of their own signature cocktail. Each gentleman must also select an additional herb, vegetable or aromatic ingredient from the resort’s Chef’s Garden, before creating their drink against the clock.
Their partners will take on the role of judges, tasting each creation and selecting a winner based on flavour, presentation and originality.
The winning cocktail will feature as Compass Pool Bar’s Cocktail of the Day for one week, with the winning couple invited to enjoy unlimited servings of their creation for the remainder of their stay.
Through the celebration, Milaidhoo is recognising the people and shared experiences that have shaped its first ten years, while giving its male guests the opportunity to take centre stage.
