Trade is now growing faster than any other sales channel for the escorted and guided getaways specialist, with trade sales having tripled over the past 12 months.
The trade is also selling higher-value holidays, with the average trade booking up by 13% to £2,500 – approximately 22% above the business-wide average.
This trade growth comes amid an equally strong quarter for the wider business. Overall company revenue is up 30% year on year, with the number of bookings up 24% and the average spend per passenger rising to 18%.
Bookings for 2027 are up 67%, and demand for Spain and Greece has grown. Montenegro, Andalucia and Malta & Gozo are some of Involved Holidays best-selling itineraries of the quarter.
Q3 showed a trend for agents to book well ahead into 2027, following suit with the wider business, but outstripping those figures with four in five trade bookings made in the quarter due to depart next year.
Most trade customers are couples, with larger average party sizes than direct bookings – a key reason trade booking values are the highest in the business.
However, group travel drove much of Involved's overall growth this quarter – an area the trade could look to capitalise on.
The south-west has also capitalised on Involved Holidays new Newquay departure point opening. Bookings for the November 2027 Andalucia Eastern Coast departure are selling strongly.
Richard Forde, Involved Holidays Sales Director, said: "The travel trade is still a young channel for us, but its direction is clear: agents who've tried us are coming back, booking early and selling higher-value trips.
"What we'd love to see now is more agents capitalising on the opportunity presented by group bookings. Walking clubs, friendship groups and special-occasion trips are booking with us directly in growing numbers, and agents are perfectly placed to utilise that demand to grow their business."
