The Revery, a member of Leading Hotels of the World, has opened near the pink-sand shores of Elafonisi Beach in southwestern Chania, Crete. Set in a secluded 11-acre cove away from the island's typical tourist routes, the property comprises 24 safari-inspired tented pavilions and clifftop suites, alongside The Revery Villa, a two-storey 285 sqm option for up to six guests with its own infinity pool and barbecue terrace.

The Revery Wild pavilions start from 40 sqm and include hydrotherapy pools on private decks, while The Revery Suites, carved into the cliffs, start from 53 sqm with heated plunge pools and sea views. Designed by architect Eirini Apostolaki (Archtify) with interiors by Sophia Vantaraki (ThingK), the property uses canvas, timber and stone alongside woven reed, linen and clay ceramics, reflecting local materials and craft.

Sustainability measures include solar energy, natural ventilation, water-saving systems and biological wastewater treatment, with native flora replanted across the site before construction began. The 80-year-old St Anthony's Chapel has been preserved and is licensed for intimate wedding ceremonies.

Cliffside restaurant Fílema serves Cretan dishes using local produce, from olive oil to seafood and foraged herbs, with views over the Libyan Sea. The ROÉE Spa offers treatments inspired by the island's natural healing traditions, alongside a thermal area, fitness space, yoga deck and meditation paths.

Guest experiences include trips to Elafonisi, Kedrodasos, Falasarna and Balos beaches, canyon hikes, 4x4 safaris, watersports, private boat trips and stargazing, alongside workshops with local artisans. The Revery also works closely with regional conservation groups and suppliers to support the island's culinary and cultural traditions.

The Revery opened on 10 August 2026, with rates from €600.
