At WTM London 2026, Spring Hotels unveiled plans for an extensive renovation of Cleopatra Palace, alongside new Family Suites and improved children's facilities at Mediterranean Palace, following the group's acquisition of both hotels and Sir Anthony Hotel in 2025.
Located on Tenerife's Golden Mile, Cleopatra Palace will be transformed into a luxury, design-focused property offering five-star service, high-end wellness and recovery facilities, beach club vibes, social experiences and family fun.
Designed for every mood, the renovation will introduce contemporary design inspired by natural materials and warm, earthy tones, swim-up accommodation and dedicated family areas. Wellness facilities will include what is expected to be Tenerife's largest gym, hyperbaric chambers, specialist recovery facilities, yoga, sound baths and spa experiences.
A rooftop terrace, premium dining and sunset events will complement dedicated family spaces, Club Mare access and wellbeing activities for teenagers. The renovation complements Spring Hotels' wider meetings and events offering, including the 1,600-capacity Pirámide de Arona auditorium.
At Mediterranean Palace, new Family Suites will combine two connecting rooms into a single booking, offering two bedrooms and two bathrooms at a lower cost than booking separately.
The hotel's volleyball court will be transformed into a new Splash Zone, similar to Spring Hotel Bitácora, introducing slides and water-based fun. Age-tailored children's amenity kits will add personalised touches.
The announcements follow a strong year for Spring Hotels, with 19% revenue growth, a 15% increase in overnight stays and over 43,000 additional room nights sold. Repeat visitors account for 30% of bookings, rising to 35% among UK guests and 26% among Irish guests.
Jo Robinson, Chief Sales Officer at Spring Hotels, says: "Tenerife has always been at the heart of Spring Hotels, and we're proud to be investing in the future of these properties."
