Speaking during an exclusive TTG interview on Tuesday (9 September), Paradiso said he expects capacity to remain broadly the same with MSC Poesia operating sailings out of Southampton in the winter and MSC Virtuosa doing the same in the summer.
However, Paradiso suggested MSC could change the length of Virtuoso's ex-UK itineraries going forward.
He said: "For the next couple of years, it's going to be the same ships – MSC Poesia and MSC Virtuosa – sailing out of the UK. In the summer, though, the itineraries may change. There could be more seven-night cruises and less shorter cruises."
Paradiso revealed there's growing demand for longer cruises with some customers booking a week-long cruise in the summer and another seven-night sailing in the winter.
"There's more appetite for seven night cruises rather than 'taster cruises'," he added. "In terms of capacity, who knows? But I'm seeing strong trends for sevennight cruises which offer that perfect balance."
