Kurek, who joined the carrier on Monday (1 November) from British Airways, will also lead Air Transat’s global team to develop its commercial strategy, including sales and marketing across all distribution channels.
She first joined BA in 2004 as a corporate account manager and held several positions at the airline, including, most recently, sales manager, specialist markets.
Kurek said: “I am delighted to be joining Air Transat at such an exciting time for the company. I have always been passionate about building strong commercial teams to drive revenue and achieve targets, while building on strong relationships within the industry.
“I am looking forward to utilising my 20 years’ experience in the industry to drive Air Transat’s global growth.”
Last week, Air Transat announced a new weekly route between Gatwick and Quebec City, starting in May 2022 – it will be one of four new routes for the airline next year.
