The CAA will meet with Scotland’s aviation and aerospace leaders this week to get a better understanding of where the industry is in terms of safety, customer experience and sustainability.
Chair Sir Stephen Hillier, alongside interim chief executives Paul Smith and Rob Bishton, will visit Glasgow and Edinburgh airports, and meet with Loganair.
The aviation regulator will pay particular attention to the airports’ progress on sustainability and innovation, to see if there are any learnings for other UK airports, while Loganair’s visit will focus mostly on how the airline is supporting regional connectivity.
