Chair Sir Stephen Hillier, alongside interim chief executives Paul Smith and Rob Bishton, will visit Glasgow and Edinburgh airports, and meet with Loganair.
The aviation regulator will pay particular attention to the airports’ progress on sustainability and innovation, to see if there are any learnings for other UK airports, while Loganair’s visit will focus mostly on how the airline is supporting regional connectivity.
“We’re engaging with the sector we regulate throughout the whole of the UK to hear first-hand how we can help it to continue to thrive safely in the future for the benefit of consumers,” the chair commented ahead of the visit.
