Brittany Ferries will reopen its Portsmouth-Le Havre passenger ferry service in the spring following several years of freight-only operation due to Covid.
The line has put tickets on sale for summer 2023, with voyages onboard Brittany Ferries Cotentin due to get under way from 1 March.
Cotentin can accommodate 114 passengers and up to 30 dogs travelling in vehicles. It has a self-service restaurant, bar and shop. One-way fares lead in from £109 based on two passengers travelling in one car.
"This is great news for travellers and for the city of Portsmouth,” said Paul Acheson, Brittany Ferries director of sales and marketing. "Once again Portsmouth, our UK-hub, will connect travellers with four destinations in Normandy and Brittany, as well as two in northern Spain."
Cotentin will also serve passengers travelling between Le Havre and Rosslare. On Sundays and Thursdays, it will sail Le Havre-Portsmouth departing at 5.30pm and arriving 10pm. It will return at 11.30pm, arriving Le Havre at 8.30am.
On Fridays, it will sail Le Havre-Rosslare departing at 7pm and arriving at 2.30pm (+1). Returns will depart Rosslare at 5.45pm on Saturdays, arriving Le Havre at 3pm (+1).
