On Saturday (18 December), France’s stringent new curbs on UK travellers came into force, effectively barring entry without "compelling reason".

Hotelplan brands Inghams and Esprit Ski have already suspended all French ski departures until 4 January, while Club Med has halted all France trips until 2 January.

Crystal has followed suit, cancelling holidays to France departing on 21 December, 28 December and 4 January.
