In 2021, the airport was reportedly granted permission to make the necessary road and infrastructure changes to introduce a new tolling system for motorists picking up or dropping off passengers at Terminal 1 and Terminal 2.
But in response to the claims made in local media reports, Dublin airport on Wednesday (22 March) said it has "no current plans" to introduce a new charging system.
According to The Irish Times, the airport previously stated commercial funds raised by the new system, if implemented, would be ring-fenced for sustainability initiatives.
