Numbers will increase even more over the weekend, with 11,356 departures scheduled from UK airports. This is up 6% and 291% respectively compared to 2022 and 2021, while figures for the whole half-term are 268% up on 2021 levels.

According to Cirium, Heathrow will see the highest number of departures, followed by Gatwick, Stansted and Manchester. EasyJet is projected to be the largest airline operating during the weekend, followed by Ryanair, Jet2 and Loganair.
