The P&O Cruises Extraordinary Showcase will take place online over 12-13 December 2023, with an action-packed agenda of product updates, selling tips and social media advice, alongside a gameshow hosted by TV’s Ben Shephard and a live cooking demonstration by "the master of tapas" Pizarro.

Prizes to be won include a two-week Caribbean cruise for two including flights and a European short-break cruise for two including flights, alongside hundreds of Shine Rewards points.

There are also 100 "viewing hampers" to be claimed to enjoy during the showcase event, containing a Jose Pizarro cookbook, a bottle of wine (or non-alcoholic alternative), snacks and wine glass, and a portable speaker.

More than 200 travel agents registered to attend the event within the first two hours of launch – a new record for TTG Media’s virtual events – and now stands at more than 1,200.

P&O Cruises sales director, Ruth Venn, said: “We’re so excited to be partnering with TTG for the P&O Cruises Extraordinary Showcase event. Travel agents are pivotal to our success, and we’re delighted to have the opportunity to talk about P&O Cruises and Shine Rewards Club with so many agents ahead of the busy Wave period.

"The volume of registrations has seen an incredible start; it’s great to see so many agents eager to know more about P&O Cruises – we can’t wait to see them in December.”

Editorial director Pippa Jacks added: “We’ve already seen a phenomenal response from agents to this exciting new event, which is aimed both at agents who’ve never sold P&O Cruises and agents who know the brand inside out – or might think they do!

“With seven unmissable educational sessions to tune into, as well as Ben Shephard’s Great Big P&O Cruises Quiz and Jose Pizarro’s live cooking demonstration, the P&O Cruises Extraordinary Showcase is sure to help agents shine during Wave this year, and to be a lot of fun too.”
