Conlon, who joined Jet2.com in February as a trainee, was surprised with the all-important question by her partner of one year Luke Denson.
“Louise had hinted in the past that her dream marriage proposal would be at her Wings Ceremony, so when I knew it was coming up, I purchased a ring and got the wheels in motion for it to happen,” said Denson.
Jet2.com’s Wings Ceremony celebrates students who have completed their four-week training and have become cabin crew members.
During the ceremony, students receive their certificate and wing badges, celebrating alongside family and friends.
Denson said he had contacted Conlon’s colleagues, who arranged for her to be called up on stage after everyone had been presented with their wings.
“All my family were there to watch me graduate, which means they were also there to witness Luke proposing,” the recent graduate added. “It was so incredibly thoughtful of Luke to plan it, as it was two of my dreams coming true at once.
“I can’t wait to start the rest of my life with Luke as well as an incredible and exciting career with Jet2.com – I’ll definitely be inviting my fellow graduates to the wedding!”
