Kathmandu is to host its first travel trade show in June, highlighting that Nepal is open for business again two years after an earthquake devastated the region and killed almost 9,000 people.
The Himalayan Travel Mart is being organised by the Pacific Asia Travel Association (Pata) Nepal Chapter on behalf of the government of Nepal Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation in partnership with the Nepal Tourism Board.
The event is hoping to attract tourism professionals and key stakeholders from all over the world including tour operators, suppliers, destination management companies, travel agents and airlines, among others.
It will also feature pre and post-conference fam trips, in addition to presentations and workshops.
The event is being coordinated for the UK trade by The Adventure Connection.
