The Norwegian Civil Aviation Authority has granted Norse an air operator’s certificate to use aircraft for commercial purposes.
Bjorn Tore Larsen, CEO and founder of Norse, said: “We would like to thank Norway’s Civil Aviation Authority for a constructive and professional process. We are now one important step closer to launching our attractive and affordable flights between Europe and the U.S. in spring next year."
Norse has a fleet of 15 Boeing 787 Dreamliners and has announced New York, Florida, Paris, London and Oslo as initial destinations.
Last month, Norse confirmed slots at Stansted airport for summer 2022, from which it is expected to launch flights to the US.
