A programme of 15 workshops were organised for attendees including presentations from top cruise sellers and a video skills session with BBC and ITV presenters.
Set to be an annual event, Seminar at Sea is part of Not Just Travel’s Cruise Mastery Programme.
The annual membership scheme enables Not Just Travel agents to customise their own cruise-focused website, access a variety of selling tools and gain support from two cruise business development managers and a new “cruise director”.
Agents will also receive cruise-specific newsletters, news and offers, as well as dedicated marketing materials.
Not Just Travel co-founder Paul Harrison claimed the Seminar at Sea had made its members “the most qualified consultants in our industry” at selling cruise.
Harrison compared the Cruise Mastery programme to “an A-level in cruise”, which he said “won’t be easy to complete” but would see agents “reap the benefits” and be better equipped to sell the lucrative sector.
