Operations at Stansted have gone back to normal after on Sunday (20 August) a power outage hit the terminal and the train station, causing delays and disruption for hundreds of passengers.
Airport authorities said on Monday (21 August) that both airport and train services were operating as normal, with 100,000 expected to come through its doors during the day.
According to BBC reports, the train station was initially evacuated on Sunday after fire alarms went off due to a power outage that caused systems to be rebooted and passenger restrictions to be put in place.
“We are working hard to get all systems up and running as quickly as possible, but we are experiencing some ongoing disruption and apologise to all those affected,” the airport tweeted.
