Classic Collection was due to provide the venue and catering for the event in Manchester but was closed suddenly by On the Beach last month. However, easyJet holidays has now agreed to help with the event, which takes place on 13 and 14 October.
Richard Light, Experience It Now Travel’s managing director, said: “We are so grateful to easyJet holidays for stepping in at such short notice to ensure our very first Homeworking Conference could still go ahead. Their support has not only saved the event but has given our homeworkers and suppliers a huge boost of confidence.”
He added: “We also want to extend our thoughts and support to our friends at Classic Collection at this very difficult time, they have been great partners to us and to the wider industry.”
Among those attending will be 50 homeworkers, nine Experience It Now staff and 18 trade suppliers.
Natasha Marson, easyJet holidays head of trade distribution, added: “We’re proud to help bring this important occasion to life and contribute to the ongoing success of the travel community.”
The Homeworking Conference is the first of its kind for Experience It Now Travel, which operates three retail stores and a network of more than 170 homeworkers across the UK.
The first part of the event revolves around a full conference day. The following day will see the Supplier Marketplace, where 18 trade partners will meet with homeworkers.
