Now live on the river cruise line’s website, these changes enable agents to confirm bookings outside of office hours and to simplify flight pricing for clients departing from regional airports.
Agents can now secure staterooms by paying deposits via credit card through the portal, giving them the ability to confirm bookings 24/7.
The option to hold provisional bookings for up to seven days will also remain in place, with sales support still available from AmaWaterways’ river cruise consultants during office hours. Its reservations team will also contact the agent within 48 hours of booking to confirm flight arrangements, or once flight bookings are in range for their chosen date.
AmaWaterways has also extended its fixed £75 per person regional airport supplement across all UK airports, excluding the Channel Islands.
Agents can select their client’s regional departure airport at the point of booking, with AmaWaterways arranging flights for a flat-rate supplement that will be added to the published London or Manchester package price.
For agents who’d prefer to arrange flights separately, the option to make cruise-only bookings remains available.
Credit card deposits also do not require final balance payment via the same method, giving agents and clients additional flexibility.
Andrea Stafford, sales director UK & Europe at AmaWaterways, said the updates were designed to improve booking efficiency for agents and standardise regional pricing.
