The unnamed 32-passenger ship is CroisiEurope’s will launch in 2027 and will be its first new-build vessel since 2020.
The ship will be Croisi’s first to be based in South America.
It will measure 49 metres long and 15 metres wide and will feature 14 suites with private balconies plus two presidential suites suspended between the sky and the water.
In addition, there will be a gourmet restaurant serving Brazilian-inspired dishes, a spa, fitness room, sun deck and conference room.
The decor will be heavily influenced by the Amazon and its surroundings, featuring plenty of wood, vibrant colours and local art, Croisi added.
Debuting in 2027, the vessel will homeport in Manaus, offering 12-day itineraries of the Brazilian Amazon, sailing the river up to the Colombian border.
The French river and ocean cruise line has pledged the ship’s engines will meet the strict environmental standards while its waste water treatment system and solar panels will allow it to shut down the generators and use batteries.
It has insisted various green practices will be observed onboard although it’s unclear what they will be exactly.
Ashore, it added, guests will become "ambassadors" for the Amazon and meeting local communities there, engaging in respectful tourism practices, supporting local initiatives and protecting the region’s biodiversity.
During these meetings, knowledge and stories will be shared, the line added.
