The three-ship ultra-luxury cruise line confirmed Husband's departure when approached by TTG on Tuesday (1 September).

It added that Antonio Paradiso, Vice-President and Managing Director, UK and Ireland, and Priti Mehta, Senior Head of Sales, would continue to oversee Explora Journeys' travel advisor strategy and relationships going forward.

"Tate has been a valued member of the team, and we’re very grateful for everything he has contributed during his time with Explora Journeys," the line commented.

"Tate has decided to return to the hospitality sector as he embarks on the next chapter of his career." 

Coming into the role, Husband brought more than 25 years' industry experience from several commercial and hospitality positions. Prior to joining Explora Journeys, his first cruise role, Husband served as Director of Sales and Marketing at The Langham, London, where he led EMEA sales strategy across key global markets.

His travel CV also includes senior positions with several major international hotel groups, including Marriott International and Kimpton Hotels and Restaurants.
