Delamere-White's imminent departure comes just a few weeks after it was announced HX'x chief financial officer and transformation officer James McArthur would leave the brand for a new role.
HX confirmed to TTG its executive leadership team had been restructured. "This new structure was carefully designed and agreed with the full executive team, reflecting a shared belief that a flatter, more streamlined leadership approach is right for the global business we have become," said an HX spokesperson.
"This new structure supports our strategic focus, ensures greater agility and positions us for long-term success.”
Delamere-White joined HX in July 2023 initially as interim chief commercial officer before taking the role permanently in December that year. His LinkedIn profile states he "spearheaded" the recently-completed separation of HX from Hurtigruten Group.
Delamere-White said: “It has been a privilege to be part of HX’s journey and to work alongside such a talented and committed team. I am proud of what we have achieved together in establishing HX as a standalone business and in building strong foundations for the future.
"I leave with full confidence that HX will continue to flourish."
Delamere-White, who spent three-and-a-half years at P&O Cruises before leaving the industry for a period in 2021, stressed to HX's trade partners that recent structural changes would "not impact the strength of our relationships or the continuity of our plans".
"Robust teams are firmly in place to continue to lead our commercial strategy," he said. "With demand across our core destinations remaining healthy, I know the business is well positioned for continued success.”
Delamere-White will work with the leadership team to maintain business continuity before he leaves the line on 31 October.
