Riviera launches biggest-ever festive programme for December 2025
Riviera Travel has launched its biggest-ever Christmas programme, with 37 departures scheduled for December 2025 – as well as a range of land extensions.
The new programme features 13 five-day Rhine sailings departures visiting some of Germany’s best Christmas markets, as well as two eight-day Christmas cruises and two six-day new year departures, also on the Rhine.
Agents can also book their clients on one of Riviera’s 11 six-day Danube river cruises visiting Vienna, Budapest and Bratislava and their Christmas markets, plus two eight-day Christmas sailings and a further two at new year.
Prices range from £999pp for the Enchanting Rhine and Yuletide Markets sailings and up to £2,299pp for the Christmas on the Danube cruises.
“There is something very special about celebrating the Christmas and New Year period on a river cruise, and at Riviera we have a wide selection of itineraries available to book,” said Riviera head of product Will Sarson.
Riviera is also offering extended land stays across six itineraries in 2025, which include a three-night stay in the Swiss ski resort of Zermatt, as well as stays in Vienna, Budapest, Burgundy, Portugal’s Douro Valley, Lisbon, Porto and Salamanca.
The announcement follows a slew of product announcements from Riviera on Tuesday (27 February) when it revealed an expanded 2025 programme, including additional combination cruises following fresh demand for longer journeys of up to a month.
The river cruise specialist also on Tuesday redoubled its commitment to the solo travel market by launching three new itineraries made exclusively for single travellers.
