Sanger-Horwell will start as director of cruise at Travelpack on 1 May and will be responsible for the company’s existing B2B cruise product, while also having a specific focus on expedition and smaller boutique cruises.
In addition, she will develop Travelpack’s packaged cruise products and provide the trade with “innovative ideas and marketing collateral” to help agents effectively communicate cruise sales opportunities to clients.
Travelpack hopes Sanger-Horwell can support travel agents sell more expedition and boutique cruises as “many of whom lack the necessary contracts and product knowledge to sell these experiences confidently”.
Sanger-Horwell said: “We have ambitious plans to be the trade’s one-stop shop for cruise.”
She will also help relaunch Travelpack’s B2C business, which includes a new client-facing luxury cruise business and an updated website.
Reflecting on her two-year stint at Kenwood Travel, Sanger-Horwell added: “I have had a great two years with Kenwood Travel and wish them all the best in moving forward with their business.
“For me, it’s time to move on, and this opportunity excites me no end. It’s a massive task, but I fully embrace it.
“With the right team in place, I am confident that we can make both the trade and customer-facing businesses a huge success.”
Travelpack director Vishal Patel added: "We are happy and honoured to have Emma on board to spearhead and drive our new businesses forward.
“With her extensive knowledge and respected position in the cruise industry, we feel excited about the direction in which she will take us.”
