I have recently returned from a seven-night sailing to the Norwegian Fjords on Iona, which I booked with my Shine Rewards. I have worked for Bolsover for many years and have been lucky enough to sail on most of the ships in the fleet, but not since before the pandemic. 

From the moment we boarded in Southampton, my expectations were exceeded. The ship is beautiful, the choice of dining and entertainment venues are fab and the staff are a credit to P&O Cruises. We dined at nearly all of the speciality restaurants, with the Glass House a favourite. 

I was worried that Iona might feel too big, but we can’t wait to get back onboard. Thank you Shine for letting me experience all that Iona has to offer.

I’ve been in travel since 1986, and while I’ve booked hundreds if not thousands of guests, I have never sailed with P&O Cruises. Even my ship visits have only been on Canberra and Oriana.

I’ve been a member of Shine since it started and have generally saved my points, but have also used them for a Kindle, GHDs and a Hugo Boss watch. I was very excited to see the Holiday with Shine promotion to double the value of your points if used against a cruise, launched last June. This meant I had almost a £1,000 to use.

My husband and I finally decided on a winter fly-cruise to join Azura in March, choosing a balcony cabin. 

Over the course of the week we enjoyed exploring all areas of the ship. The breakfast Danish pastries and buns were amazing.

We took part in the silent disco, watched a movie under the stars, entered quizzes and watched a variety of shows in between chilling out on deck and in the pools.

During the week we visited Madeira, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote and Tenerife and ended the week stargazing up Mount Teide, which was a real highlight.

The trip has made a real difference to me being able to assist customers with questions about P&O Cruises - I can share my own experience now.
