The Canadian High Arctic

Located about 1,300km from the North Pole, Spitsbergen is dark four months of the year, but when the sun returns in April the days lengthen, until June when the sun never sets. It’s this near-constant light that creates the perfect conditions to spot polar bears, walruses, reindeer, arctic foxes, beluga whales, seals and seabirds, against a backdrop of snow-capped mountains, glaciers and fjords.
