Healey will join Lusso as head of business development and growth in the new year after three years as director of sales UK and Europe at Virgin Limited Edition.
She will work alongside managing director James Weaver, sales director Gareth Hulmston and national sales manager Kevin Gaddes to support Lusso’s strategic expansion of agent partnerships across the UK.
The luxury travel specialist claims annual sales of £30 million and an average booking value of £22,000, with the business citing sustained growth as the driver for the new senior role.
“With a travel career spanning more than 30 years, Rachel brings a wealth of experience across both travel retail and wholesale sectors in B2B roles,” said Weaver. “When we heard that Rachel was looking at new opportunities in the luxury travel sector we leapt at the chance to bring her on board at Lusso.
“Being wholly dedicated to agents its incredibly important to offer best in class relationship management to our agents. Alongside Gareth and Kevin, we now have a ‘dream team’ that holds some exceptionally strong relationships across the luxury agency space.”
Healey, who will take up her role on 5 January 2026, said: “Lusso has strong recognition within the luxury trade. I look forward to working with existing partners and developing new business opportunities.”
Healey joined Virgin Voyages as senior sales manager for Europe before being promoted. Her remit was later expanded to include India, where she established new trade relationships and supported market development.
Earlier in her career, Healey spent 18 years with trade-only operator Travel 2, building long-term partnerships with independent agents.
Her later roles included senior positions at Qantas Holidays, where she led sales and operations; USAirtours, where she developed the operator's business development function; and Abercrombie & Kent, where she was responsible for expanding the B2B channel.
At A&K, she oversaw initiatives focused on trade visibility, engagement and the creation of a dedicated trade sales team, contributing to a 30% increase in trade revenue within six months.
