Luxury travel company Abercrombie and Kent has selected a handful of cruise lines to work with in a bid to extend their services from land to sea, writes Charlotte Hulme.
A&K will be offering cruises with Azamara Club Cruises, Seabourn and Regent Seven Seas in its 2017 programme.
“Cruising has been one of the major success stories of recent years and combining Abercrombie & Kent’s experiences, our guests can now enjoy a fully immersed water and land holiday with unrivalled service," said A&K’s product manager for cruising, Charlotte Wells.
The operator said it had chosen to work with these cruise companies given the smaller size of their ships, allowing access to ports which larger vessels would not be able to reach.
A&K will feature Azamara Quest and Azamara Journey who are known for offering what they have coined as ‘destination immersion’, which focuses on offering passengers more time ashore.
Cruises offered by Azamara in the A&K programme will include a five-night Monaco Grand Prix Voyage available from £1,980 per person, which will call at St Tropez, Cannes, Florence, Pisa and Monte Carlo.
Some of the Regent Cruises that will feature include a 16-night Beijing to Bangkok sailing from £6,250 per person, as well as the 11-night San Francisco to Vancouver itinerary from £4,980 per person and a 12-night Nordic cruise from £5,100 per person.
Seabourn’s newest ship Encore, which will be arriving later this year, will also feature in the programme along with Ovation when that joins the fleet in 2018.
The ships chosen by A&K all offer spa services such as Canyon Ranch, which features on Regent Seven Seas ships. Regent’s latest vessel, Explorer, launched this month and as with other sailings offers unlimited shore excursions with everything included in the fare.
