The six-day Prague Christmas markets trip takes in festive markets in Prague, Berlin and Cologne, travelling by sleeper train between 2-26 December.

The central European Christmas markets tour spans 12 days by sleeper train, staying in Cologne, Munich, Budapest, Prague, Krakow, Berlin and Brussels. Clients can travel between 2-23 December.

On the five-day north European Christmas markets trip, clients explore Christmas markets in three destinations between 13-26 December. It includes Berlin’s many Christmas markets, Brussels Christmas market, and the glittering Ice Village in Amsterdam.

A Byway spokesperson said: “With the environmental impact of Christmas being notoriously high and the busiest time of year to travel, according to UK Aviation News, flights over the festive period from the UK in 2022 were 49% higher than in the previous period – more and more people are looking at planet-friendly ways to enjoy the festive season without increasing their carbon footprint.”
