As many as 113,000 passengers are being hit by the cancellation of 929 Lufthansa flights today, thanks to strike action.
The flights from Frankfurt, Dusseldorf and Munich are all being cancelled as the dispute moves into its third day.
Members of the UFO union behind the action, which is over retirement benefits, warned more strikes at other airports are on the cards.
Today’s action started at 3.30am and will run until 10pm in Frankfurt and Dusseldorf and 11pm at Munich.
A spokesperson for Lufthansa said two thirds of the 3,000 flights planned for today are expected to run as normal.
