Of the new members, 14 are trading as principles, five as dual members and three as retail members. The influx also saw four new partners join the association.
Some of the new members are also following the trend among consumers for more active breaks – six of the new recruits are either adventure or sports holidays companies.
The new intake consists of Sports Abroad, InsideAsia Tours, Saddle Skedaddle, CTC Cycling Holidays & Tours, Aviate Management, Imagine Cruising, Imagine Transport and Coopers Tours.
The Really Wild Travel Company, Erna Low Consultants, TravelLocal, Classic Grand Touring, Diplomat Travel Services, Unicorn Trails, 1st Tickets, Gobrit and Quipzi have also paid their membership fees for the first time.
They are also joined by Roberts Coaches, Firefly Holidays (UK), Chillisauce, Pebbles Rentals and Scenic Tours.
The four new partners are City & Guilds of London Institute, i2visa UK, the University of Hertfordshire and Carey England.
In addition, 16 managed branches joined Abta in the same period.
Abta chief executive Mark Tanzer said: “It is fantastic to welcome these new members and partners into the association.
“Abta membership is a valuable asset, and we look forward to working with them and supporting them throughout 2016.”
Erna Low managing director Jane Bolton added: “Abta is the most widely recognised industry body in the UK and here at Erna Low we are excited to be new members and we are looking forward to meeting other members and benefitting from the support and collective wisdom that the membership will give us access to.”
