Gilly Bachelor Travel Expert – which operates under Not Just Travel – will host the event in Brewood on 11 February for clients who have travel-related questions.
Owner Gilly Bachelor said: "This may be about a booking they’ve made elsewhere, or they’re looking for best advice on a trip they’re planning independently, or they’re just looking for some travel inspiration."
The event comes as the agency celebrates its fourth year of trading, having accumulated £2.5 million in sales from 1,200 customers.
"We are now in to our fifth year of trading and to be honest it’s been incredible," Bachelor added. "Covid was a really challenging time for the business, but this is now well in the rear-view mirror.
"I am more optimistic than ever. Our clients’ loyalty and support are at the core of our success, and we remain grateful every single day."
Bachelor and back office admin manager Stephanie Minton’s intervention follows warnings that despite there still being untapped pent-up demand for travel post-pandemic, it is taking more time and effort to unlock this demand.
Travel Network Group chief commercial officer Vim Vithaldas last week told TTG conversions were tougher in the current climate with clients still concerned about travelling in the current climate.
"Our members’ feedback is that converting some enquiries has proved challenging – some customers are asking far more questions than in previous years, before committing to a booking," said Vithaldas. "There has been lots of shopping around and there’s still a lack of confidence pervading because of all the past travel disruption."
However, Vithaldas said the perseverance agents showed during the pandemic, and their levels of service, were paying dividends when it came to getting these enquiries over the line, and attracting new clients via recommendations.
TTG’s latest Travel Agent Tracker survey, meanwhile, received a number of comments corroborating both Bachelor and Vithaldas’s stances, with respondents highlighting people’s worries about queues at airports, strike action and the risk of Covid measures being reintroduced at short notice.
