Agents were asked to make a paper aeroplane and film themselves flying it. The winning videos were those showing the planes cruising in the air for the longest.
Contenders shared their efforts on Facebook and Twitter, with entries recorded at their stores, TTG On Tour roadshows and parties in London and Manchester, hosted by TTG Media alongside Qantas and Tourism Western Australia.
The winning time was 2.24 seconds – from Jenna Anderson of Thomas Cook in Eastleigh.
The runners-up were Stephanie Glazebrook and Sophie Pratt from Thomson, Paul Hayden from Virgin Holidays and the Your Travel team, which incorporated a funky giant pink cow into its video.
The incentive was launched to celebrate the new Qantas flight, which will travel non-stop from London to Perth from spring 2018.
Other prizes offered to agents by Qantas and Tourism Western Australia included the chance to win a place on a fam trip to Perth, a case of wine and a set of Qantas Business pyjamas.
