Travel consultants battled it out inside a giant snow globe at the line’s Weybridge headquarters this week for the final spot on Royal’s all-expenses paid trip to the city this December.
Contenders were each given 60 seconds inside the giant globe to grab as many golden tickets as possible while being blasted by a giant fan, in a similar fashion to classic TV show, The Crystal Maze.
The winner of the event was Tui’s Becky Sutton, who joins 14 fellow jet-setters who had already claimed their place on the three-night trip.
Running from September 4 to October 4, the Escape the Room to New York incentive saw agents make Royal bookings to earn time in a virtual escape room inspired by the Observatorium Escape Room onboard the newly revamped Independence of the Seas.
Agents who completed four challenges inside the room were then granted the key to ‘escape’, those who did it in the quickest time were awarded the most points.
The top 14 contenders automatically earned a place on the trip, while those vying for positions 15 to 25 were then invited to battle it out in the snow globe.
Stuart Byron, interim sales director, Royal Caribbean International UK and Ireland, said: “I would like to congratulate all 15 winners on earning a place on this amazing trip to the Big Apple. Our Club Rewards members are integral to the business and it’s an absolute pleasure to be able to reward their hard work.”
