With the start of the summer season, Air Canada will increase its Dublin-Vancouver route from three to five times per week during peak periods, while also extending its operating season. Air Canada is the sole carrier serving this route.
The seasonal Montreal service, which begins on 2 June, will increase from three to four times per week.
In addition, the year-round Toronto service will move from four flights a week to daily this summer.
Return fares start at €505 to Toronto, €558 to Montreal, and €665 to Vancouver.
Dublin airport’s passenger capacity has been capped at 32 million since 2007, when an additional terminal was built, over fears roads would be unable to cope with increased passenger numbers.
However, infrastructure has long-since been upgraded and a legal challenge from Ryanair and Aer Lingus in late 2024 led to a temporary easing of restrictions while a finite agreement is sought.
Blaithin O’Donnell, Air Canada sales manager, Ireland said: “It’s great to see such significant growth in this market, giving Irish customers more options to choose from when travelling to Canada, the US and beyond.
“The additional flights for 2025 highlight Air Canada’s impressive growth in the Irish market when compared to 2024 capacities, showing approximately 17% growth year on year.”
The flights will also mean connections through Montreal and Toronto to destinations such as Punta Cana, San Jose, Mexico City and Cancun, which are unserved from Ireland.
Connections to US destinations include Orlando, Miami, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
