An Air France flight heading from San Francisco to Paris was forced to divert to Montreal because of an anonymous, unspecified threat.
Flight AF083 landed at the Canadian airport yesterday. The aircraft was carrying 231 passengers and 15 crew members, CNN reported.
The airline said: "Following anonymous threat, crew of #AF083, decided per safety regulations to land in Montreal as a precaution. [The] flight landed normally.
"Local authorities [carried] out inspections. Air France staff [are]... taking care of all passengers.”
